Fungal Trip is a free psychedelic tarot deck on Zorynthia, set in a world of glowing mushrooms, tangled roots and spiral galaxies. Its 22 cards are the Major Arcana under their classic names and numbers, and the deck is open to every account, free ones included. The palette is pure blacklight poster: violet, acid green, hot pink, orange and teal, with almost no empty space on any card.
Busy as the artwork is, the readings are ordinary tarot. Zorynthia's AI never looks at the pictures; it reads each card by its traditional meaning and relates it to your question. The mushrooms are a visual theme borrowed from psychedelic art, nothing more, and the deck says nothing about using any substance. A reading is entertainment and a prompt for reflection, not a prediction of what will happen.
What do the Fungal Trip cards look like?
Each card sits on a deep violet field scattered with stars and spiral galaxies. The border is a mesh of twisting roots and mycelium, with mushrooms in the corners whose caps drip like melting wax. The numeral is set in a mandala at the top, more mandalas sit on each side, and sacred-geometry diagrams float behind the scene. Titles are written in swollen, wavy letters fading from yellow to pink.
The classic symbols are retold with fungi. The Tower is a giant mushroom split by lightning, scattering spores as two figures fall. Death rides a dark horse under a flag bearing a white mushroom in place of the white rose. A mushroom grows out of the Moon's face, and the back is a mandala of mushroom caps and open eyes.
Which questions suit Fungal Trip?
Fungal Trip fits questions about shifting perspective, creativity, spirituality and things that are only starting to grow: an idea, a move, a decision you have been circling for weeks. Mycelium is a fitting image for that, since most of its work happens out of sight. People who like psychedelic art, festival posters or simply saturated color tend to make it their default deck.
If you prefer calm, sparse illustration, this one may feel crowded, because every card is packed from edge to edge. One of the other eleven decks will suit you better. Whichever deck you choose, a reading is a tool for reflection and not medical, financial or psychological advice.
How do you get a reading with Fungal Trip?
Register and the account starts with 5 free tokens, no card needed; each reading costs 1 token. Write your question, choose a category (love, career, finance, spirituality or general) and select Fungal Trip.
Three cards are drawn from the 22 Major Arcana into a past, present and future spread. The AI works through them one by one in light of your question, then sums up, and the text appears live as it is written. Afterwards you can pull up to two more cards at 1 token each, and the finished reading is kept in your history. The psychedelic styling has no bearing on the result: the mushroom Tower means exactly what The Tower means in any other deck.

Fungal Trip: frequently asked questions
Is Fungal Trip free to use?
Yes. Fungal Trip is one of Zorynthia's six free decks and needs no Arcana Pass subscription. A new account gets 5 tokens with no payment card, and each reading costs 1 token. When those run out you can buy a token pack, and Fungal Trip stays available on a free account either way.
How many cards does Fungal Trip have?
Fungal Trip is a 22-card deck made up only of the Major Arcana, numbered 0 to XXI. It leaves out the 56 Minor Arcana, the numbered and court cards of the four suits. Each reading uses three of those 22 cards for past, present and future, and up to two extra cards can be drawn afterwards.
Do the psychedelic illustrations change the card meanings?
No. Fungal Trip changes the artwork only. Zorynthia's AI does not analyze the images; it interprets each card by the traditional meaning you would find in a Rider–Waite–Smith guide. The lightning-struck mushroom on Fungal Trip's Tower still means sudden upheaval and the collapse of old structures, just as the falling tower does in the classic deck.
Does Fungal Trip have anything to do with magic mushrooms?
Fungal Trip uses mushrooms as a visual motif in the tradition of psychedelic art: neon color, mandalas, spirals and mycelium borders. The deck does not encourage using any substance and does not describe drug effects. It is a standard Major Arcana with unusual artwork, meant for readings taken as entertainment and self-reflection.
