Celestial Gold is a tarot deck drawn in fine gold line work on a deep navy ground, framed by ornate double borders, star-dotted constellations and small crescent moons. It is one of six free decks in Zorynthia, a browser-based app for AI tarot readings, and it covers the 22 Major Arcana from The Fool (0) to The World (XXI). Any account can use it, including a free one.
The scenes follow the familiar Rider–Waite–Smith layouts closely. The Fool steps toward a cliff edge with a white dog, the High Priestess sits between pillars marked B and J, and a crayfish crawls out of the water on The Moon. The gold is shaded with dense hatching, like an engraving, and color appears only in small accents such as the Magician's red roses. Picking this deck changes the pictures and nothing else: the AI reads every card by its traditional meaning in the context of your question.
What does the Celestial Gold deck look like?
Every card shares one frame: a navy background, a double gold border with scrollwork, tiny stars in the corners and a crescent moon on each side edge. A Roman numeral sits in a circle at the top, and the English card name runs along a gold ribbon at the bottom. Figures and landscapes are drawn in outline and cross-hatching, closer to an old engraving than to a painting.
Dotted constellation lines fill many of the skies, and the sun and moon throw off long rays. Color is rationed: red roses and white lilies around the Magician, a red-robed angel above the Lovers, a green laurel wreath on The World. The card back is a mirrored gold pattern of moon phases, geometric stars and sunbursts.
Who is Celestial Gold for?
Celestial Gold suits people who want tarot to look like tarot, with recognizable scenes, traditional props and a formal border. If you are learning card meanings from books or sites built on Rider–Waite–Smith, the symbols they describe appear here in the same places, which makes it easier to connect a definition to an image.
The dark, quiet palette fits evening readings and measured questions about work, money or general direction. It does not soften the hard cards: The Tower burns, and Death rides a white horse past a fallen king. If you would rather see gentler imagery, another free deck such as the pastel Misty Bloom may suit you better.
How do you get a Celestial Gold reading on Zorynthia?
Create an account and you get 5 free tokens, no payment card required; one token pays for one reading. Type your question, choose a category (love, career, finance, spirituality or general) and select Celestial Gold. Three cards are drawn at random from the 22 Major Arcana and laid out as past, present and future.
The AI interprets each card against your question, then writes a summary, and the text streams onto the screen as it is generated. You can draw up to two extra cards for 1 token each, and the reading is saved to your history. The artwork never shifts the interpretation: The Tower means the same here as in any other deck in the app.

Celestial Gold: frequently asked questions
Is the Celestial Gold tarot deck free?
Yes. Celestial Gold is one of Zorynthia's six free decks and works on every account, with no subscription. You pay only for readings: each one costs 1 token, and a new account receives 5 tokens without entering a payment card. More tokens are sold in packs, starting at 10 tokens for €1.69.
How many cards are in Celestial Gold?
Celestial Gold has 22 cards: the complete Major Arcana from The Fool (0) to The World (XXI), with the classic names and numbering. It has no Minor Arcana. The full 78-card decks are the six premium decks included with Arcana Pass, which costs €11.99 a month and adds 150 tokens monthly.
How does Celestial Gold compare to the Rider–Waite–Smith deck?
Celestial Gold keeps the Rider–Waite–Smith compositions almost card for card. What changes is the rendering: gold line work and hatching on navy instead of flat color, plus constellations and ornamental frames. The meanings stay the same. Zorynthia's AI interprets each card by its traditional symbolism and never looks at the illustration, so Celestial Gold affects only how the reading looks.
Is Celestial Gold a good deck for learning tarot?
Celestial Gold works well for learners because it keeps the classic scenes and props. The symbols that tarot guides point to, such as the B and J pillars, the Hermit's lantern and the crayfish rising from the water on The Moon, are where you expect them. After a reading you can compare each image with the AI's interpretation and remember what the card stands for.
