Doodle Deck is a free tarot deck on Zorynthia that looks like it was made at a kitchen table with scissors and glue: cut-out cardboard figures, googly eyes, cotton-wool clouds and borders of washi tape. It holds the 22 Major Arcana, from The Fool (0) to The World (XXI), and every account can use it, free accounts included. Card names and numbers are the classic ones, so anyone who knows tarot will recognize each card at a glance.

Most tarot art leans dark and solemn; this deck keeps things light, to the point that Death is a grinning skeleton on a hobby horse. The artwork stays on the surface, though. Zorynthia's AI reads every card by its traditional meaning, in the context of the question you typed, and never looks at the illustration. Treat a reading as entertainment and a prompt for reflection, not as a forecast.

What does Doodle Deck look like?

Every card looks like a photograph of a paper collage. Skies are torn blue paper, the ground is crumpled wrapping paper or corrugated card, clouds are tufts of cotton wool, and flowers are felt, tissue paper or buttons. Figures are flat cardboard shapes with crayon-pink cheeks and big googly eyes. The frame is a patchwork of turquoise, pink and yellow washi tape with felt-tip loops; the numeral is crayoned on a paper tab and the title hand-lettered in black marker.

The traditional symbols survive in craft form. The Magician raises a crayon as his wand under a pipe-cleaner infinity sign. The Tower is a stack of cardboard boxes and paper tubes struck by yellow lightning. The back is a cardboard question mark studded with googly eyes.

Who is Doodle Deck for?

It suits anyone who wants to ask a question without heavy, mystical staging. It works well for everyday matters: plans for the week, a friendship that has gone quiet, a hobby you keep putting off, the first month in a new job. Newcomers to tarot often find it easier too, because the cheerful pictures take the edge off cards with a fearsome reputation, such as Death, The Devil and The Tower.

The playful look does not soften the content. If a card with a difficult meaning comes up, the interpretation says so plainly; only the picture is friendlier. For worries about health, money or a major life decision, a reading can help you sort your thoughts, but it is no substitute for a doctor, a financial adviser or a therapist.

How do you get a reading with Doodle Deck?

Create an account and you get 5 free tokens with no payment card required; one token pays for one reading. Type your question, choose a category (love, career, finance, spirituality or general) and pick Doodle Deck from the deck list.

Three cards are drawn at random from the 22 Major Arcana and laid out as past, present and future. The AI interprets each card against your question and then writes a summary, streamed onto the screen as it is generated. If you want more detail, you can draw up to two extra cards for 1 token each. Every reading is saved to your history. The cardboard artwork has no effect on the result: the meanings are the same as in any other deck.

Doodle Deck: frequently asked questions

Is Doodle Deck free?

Yes. Doodle Deck is one of Zorynthia's six free decks and works on every account, with or without an Arcana Pass subscription. New accounts receive 5 tokens on registration with no payment card, and one token covers one reading. The deck itself never costs anything extra; you only spend tokens on the readings you run.

How many cards are in Doodle Deck?

Doodle Deck has 22 cards, the complete Major Arcana from The Fool (0) to The World (XXI), with their classic names and numbering. It has no Minor Arcana, so there are no Wands, Cups, Swords or Pentacles. Each reading draws three cards, and you can add up to two extra cards afterwards.

Does the artwork change the meanings compared with the Rider–Waite–Smith deck?

No. Doodle Deck only changes how the cards look. Zorynthia's AI does not see the illustrations; it interprets each card by its traditional meaning, the same one you would find in a Rider–Waite–Smith guidebook. The smiling skeleton on Doodle Deck's Death card still stands for an ending and a transition, not a joke.

Is Doodle Deck a real tarot deck or just a novelty?

Doodle Deck is a working Major Arcana deck. Every card keeps its traditional name, number and core symbols: The Fool has his bundle, his dog and the cliff edge, on The Star a figure kneels by the water under a large star, and The Moon has two towers of cardboard boxes, a dog and a wolf. Only the craft materials on show are playful.
